London, 21st March, Comedy Central UK today announces two senior personnel appointments. Penny Brough joins the channel as Vice President, Director of Marketing while Chris Collie, currently Director of Programming and Planning, is promoted to Vice President, Programming, effective immediately.

2012 was a stellar year for Comedy Central UK with the channel’s 16-34 profile growing by 19% year-on-year resulting in the channel’s best performing year ever. Comedy Central UK has grown 82% since launch in 2008 and is now ranked as the #1 channel for 16-34s (#1 GE channel in Pay TV homes in Daytime).
Penny Brough joins the channel from Vodafone UK where she served as Head of Consumer Communications. Prior to moving client side Brough spent seven years at Wieden + Kennedy, where she worked on the award winning Honda, Lurpak and Cravendale campaigns and P&G's Global Olympics campaign as well as a brief spell at Fallon, running the Kraft Cadbury business in 2011.

Chris Collie joined Comedy Central in 2011 after seven years at Virgin Media/Flextech Television as Senior LIVINGtv Program Planner and Head of Scheduling and Channel Strategy respectively.
Chris adds: “We have had great success with programming at Comedy Central over the past year, and I am looking forward to achieving the same results in our international markets.”
Penny’s role at Comedy Central will be to oversee the brand and marketing strategy for the four main channels, while Chris will continue to oversee the channel programming strategy in the UK as well as oversight of programming and scheduling across others territories managed by the UK.
Both positions will report directly into Jill Offman.
