Alex Norris joins Comedy Central UK as Creative Director 

London, Friday 6 February: Comedy Central UK today announces that Alex Norris has joined the business as its new creative director. Norris will report directly to Alison Bakunowich, VP Creative, Marketing and Communications for Comedy Central & Nickelodeon UK and Ireland. 

Norris has been tasked with developing and implementing a clear creative vision and strategy for the Comedy Central UK brand. He will be responsible for leading the creative team across 360 projects, generating communication that pushes the channel’s brand and key values to its core 16-34 audience.

On the appointment, Bakunowich said: “Alex is an incredible creative talent with superb comedy credentials and I am delighted that he is joining the team. It is an exciting year for Comedy Central UK with our original commissions; Drunk History, I Live with Models, Brotherhood and Russell Howard’s new stand up show.”

Norris added: “As someone who has been seriously obsessed with comedy all my life, the chance to join the team at Comedy Central and work on making funny stuff funnier all day every day is a dream come true. I can't wait to get started!"

Norris joins Comedy Central UK from Red Bee Media, where he produced successful comedy creative for shows starring Rob Brydon, James Corden, Michael McIntyre and Dave Gorman, as well as leading the creative for the launch of ‘Life Story’, ‘The Missing’, ‘The Driver’ and ‘The Great Train Robbery’.

During his career, Norris was worked across multiple TV channels on campaigns for BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three, BBC Four, CBBC, CBeebies, Channel 4, Nickelodeon, Dave and Gold.  He has also worked as a film and TV drama screenwriter and directed award winning short films and BAFTA nominated digital/animation projects.
